The successful candidate’s duties will cover both teaching and research in the areas named above.
Appointment requirements are governed by Article 100 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).
The successful candidate will have an international teaching profile as well as an excellent research profile demonstrated through high-level publications in the field of medieval and early modern German literature with a special focus on Old Yiddish literature and Judaeo-Christian literary and cultural contacts. She or he should have experience in acquiring funding for and conducting sponsored research.
The appointee will be responsible for conducting courses in the bachelor’s degree program German Philology and in the master’s degree program German Literatures. She or he will be willing to collaborate with colleagues of the Zentrum für Jüdische Studien Berlin-Brandenburg and contribute to the development of future research associations.
