The Joseph and Rebecca Meyerhoff Center and Program of Jewish Studies at the University of Maryland is very pleased to announce a one year visiting position in Yiddish Culture and/or Literature. The position carries a teaching load of four courses per year, at least two of which must be in Yiddish language instruction at the introductory to intermediate level. The additional courses may be in an area of the faculty member's expertise. Applicants should be interested and capable of participating in online/blended learning course development. PhD in hand is preferred, as is Yiddish teaching experience.
Visiting rank will be commensurate with previous experience and appointments.
