By the completion of this course, students are expected to acquire a proficiency level of ILR 1 in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. They should be able to read and write in Yiddish and communicate easily on everyday topics. They should be able to write and translate simple texts, write short essays, letters, and advertisements."
