The Society for the Preservation of Hebrew Books "was founded in order to preserve old American Hebrew books that are out of print and/or circulation". To this end it has also scanned a number of books from the collection of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research which are available on the website YIVOLibraryBooks.org. Though most of these books are in Hebrew the collection also includes volumes 3-42 (1932-1962) of the first series of YIVO Bleter, the institute's scholarly journal. Scroll down to the bottom of the website to download these volumes. See for more on the history of YIVO's publications also this article in the The YIVO Encyclopedia of Jews in Eastern Europe Online.
